Each year our entire team dedicates countless hours to building, programming, and narrowing down the perfect robot design. So it's only fair that we got a few awards in the process.
2015-2016 Annapolis 2 Qualifier Winning Alliance
This signifies that in the whole Annapolis qualifier tournament, at Annapolis our team and two other teams came number one in the tournament.
2015-2016 Maryland Championship Tournament Think Award
To earn the think award the whole team must have a deep understanding of their journey to build the robot. The team must show that they clearly understand the engineering design process and how that applies when they built their robot. The team must also submit an engineering notebook that summarizes the team’s game plan and science behind their robot design. The notebook must also have diagrams and drawings of the teams robot with all stages of it being built.
2017-2018 Northern Qualifier Kamen Division Connect Award
The connect award is earned by connecting with the outside community and spreading STEM. The team must also actively try to help the community better understand what FTC is and what it does. The team that earns the award has to have a solid understanding of their business plan and strategic plan.
2017-2018 Shenandoah Qualifier Control Award
The control award is given to the team that actively uses sensors to function on the playing field. The team has to demonstrate that the sensors work consistently and that they actually help the team score points in the autonomous period of the game. The team should use creative and original software techniques to control the sensors on the field.
2018-2019 Centreville Qualifier Winning Alliance
We received this award after winning 1st place as team captain during the Rover Ruckus season. Our robot had very simple mechanisms which allowed it to perform certain tasks consistently. It lacked one particular function but was able to compensate for it through its consistency.
